McKinney Square Book Festival is an event created by Texas Authors, Inc. and DEAR Texas, Inc. Both non-profits support Texas Authors and literacy programs. Please click on the year for more information about that years event.
DEAR Texas is proud to arrange for a short story contest for McKinney students in grades 6-12. To learn more about the contest, please click here. Prizes will be displayed on our site and the Texas Authors Institute’s website as they become available. All information will be verified with a parent or guardian of the student submitting a short story before any awards may be bestowed upon the winner.

Help Us to Raise Money for Literacy Programs
During the first 10 months of 2015, Texas Authors, Inc., and DEAR Texas, Inc., have collectively donated over $5,700 in books to various organizations. Our goal for 2016 is to raise $25,000 for literacy programs, please help us reach that goal.
